The Final Twelve: Day 4 “Preparations”

A few days ago, I blogged about a morning where I drove over a bridge that was surrounded by the fog rising below it. And I related the cars slowing and waiting for the fog to clear to me taking time and making preparations now so that when the right opportunity presents itself, I’ll be ready.

The reason I’m referring back to this post is because I spent tonight in preparation mode. I took a hosting class with an awesome woman who was extremely helpful, honest, and full of relevant tips and thought-provoking ideas. During a brief power-point presentation, she displayed a quote that immediately made me think of my fog on the bridge post and, in turn, fueled my motivation even further.

The quote was by the Roman philosopher, Seneca:

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

So well put, and it just reinforces the idea that we should ALL always push ourselves, strengthen our learning, and remain curious so that we can reach our fullest potential.

Have a wonderful night : )
