I just wanted to thank all of you that have been reading and commenting on my blog posts in “The Final Twelve.” Your responses and kind words are truly appreciated!
I started this blog 13 days ago as a way to document the moments leading up to my leaving one career in order to pursue another. I definitely accomplished this, but in doing so, I also developed a new passion for blogging. I have always loved to write, so I am not surprised that I also enjoy having a blog. I fully intend to write as much as possible in the days, weeks, and years to come.
This, however, will be the last post in The Final Twelve.
It is now the day after my last day at school. Yesterday was bittersweet, but today I am feeling happy. I’m not quite sure what the future holds, but I am very excited to explore and find out.
Which brings me to the picture in this post. The picture is of my one and only tattoo (for now). Having a tattoo wasn’t always something that I thought was for me, but now I can’t imagine not having one. And not just any one, this one.
About a year ago, I wasn’t in the happy place that I am now. (It’s life, peaks and valleys.) I tried to shake it, move forward…but it wasn’t until a few months later that I actually began to. It all started when I made the decision to begin doing things outside of my comfort zone. I started bartending, signed up for an acting class, and made an appointment to get my first tattoo.
When I walked in to make the appointment, I knew that I wanted specific song lyrics incorporated in the design: heaven’s got a plan for you. The lyrics are from a song that I love and the words definitely have huge meaning to me. In fact, it was just a week and a half after I made that appointment that I found out I was the Grand-Prize Winner for the radio contest that would forever change my life, perspective, and point me on this new path. Coincidence? I like to think not : )
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
