Even though there’s still some snow on the ground, Spring is officially on the horizon! {And it’s about time.} For the past few weeks, the restaurant has been featuring a White Winter Cosmopolitan – and it more than lived up to its name. This week, to celebrate the official start of Spring on the 20th, we decided it was time to jump on the Spring bandwagon and add some color to our cocktail list. We are now featuring a classic martini, but gave it a new, sassy name:
We’ve turned a Ruby Red Grapefruit Martini into our very own “Pretty in Pink-tini.” Sure it’s girly, but it was so nice to draw those flowers on the board.
Here’s the recipe:
Pretty in Pink-tini
You will need:
2 oz. Ketel One Vodka (or the like)
2 oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1/4 oz. Cointreau
Sugar (for the rim of the glass)
Directions:
1. Pour sugar onto a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled martini glass; dip rim into the sugar to coat.
2. Combine Vodka, Ruby Red Grapefruit juice, and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Pour into the prepared martini glass.
This cocktail will most definitely brighten up your day. The sugar rim is a wonderul balance to the grapefruit juice, and the end result tastes as refreshing as this Spring season will feel!
Thanks for brightening up the day Natalie. Cheers!
